Spend the Night at Ormond Plantation in Destrehan
Plantation Tour by Bike from New Orleans: Bike from Laid Back Tours' New Orleans location to the Mississippi
River Bicycle Path. Ride on the paved bike path with the mighty Mississippi River on your left and historic River Road
on your right. Tour Destrehan Plantation, a beautifully restored 1790 Creole plantation with period furnishings, slave
cabins and other out buildings. Spend the night at historic Ormond Plantation, the oldest restored plantation in the
lower Mississippi River valley. Eat at local restaurants and try Creole and Cajun cuisine. On the second day, take a
tour of Ormond and LaBranche Plantations before heading back to New Orleans.
Each day's ride is between 28 and 30 miles.
Your stay at Ormond Plantation includes a bottle of wine and a cheese and fresh fruit tray served in the evening. In the morning, a plantation style breakfast will be served on the porch, or in the main dining room after which you will tour the plantation.

| SELF-GUIDED TOUR: | $120 per person. This price includes tour maps, direction sheets with restroom stops, points of interest, suggested restaurants, bottled water and the rental of an excellent quality hybrid bike (recumbents available for an additional fee). |
| ORMOND PLANTATION B&B: | $125 double occupancy. Includes a bottle of wine, a cheese and fresh fruit tray, a plantation style breakfast, and a tour of the plantation. |
| DESTREHAN PLANTATION TOUR: | $10 per person ($9 with a AAA card). |
| LABRANCHE PLANTATION TOUR: | $5 per person. |
| TOUR DATES: | Self-guided plantation tours are booked any time based on Ormond Plantation B&B room availability. |
| LUNCH/DINNER: | Everyone pays for his/her own lunch/dinner at one of the local restaurants. We'll give you our recommendations. |
| CANCELLATIONS: |
No charge for a tour if canceled within 7 days. A cancellation fee of $35 p/p for a tour if canceled in
less than 7 days. The full amount for the tour will be charged for a no show, no call. Please note that Ormond
Plantation B&B has their own cancellation policy which is as follows: Ormond Cancellation/Refund Policy: To receive a refund, Ormond must be notified of cancellation no later than seven days prior to your reservation date. Your payment, minus a $30.00 service charge, will be returned to you. However, there will be no refunds for reservations made for Mardi Gras, Jazz Festival and other major holidays. |
