New Orleans City Tour by Bicycle

Riding the Algiers Ferry to New Orleans

New Orleans City Tour: Bike through historic Faubourg St. John, and view the architecture of the oldest neighborhood in New Orleans. Ride through the French Quarter and take a Ferry across the Mississippi River. Tour the Garden District, Audubon park, and Tulane and Loyola universities. You can't see this much of New Orleans on a bus tour!

FULL DAY - 23 TO 45 MILES
9:00am  Meet at Laid Back and relax with a cup of coffee or tea as you fill out paperwork and choose your bike and helmet.
9:30am  Pedal along beautiful Bayou St. John and view the architecture of the oldest neighborhood in New Orleans, Faubourg St. John. Ride through historic St. Louis Cemetery #3, then down Esplanade Ridge and through the French Quarter. Take a ferry across the Mississippi River to the Algiers point neighborhood.
12:00pm  Lunch in Gretna, an old German settlement, at a neighborhood restaurant.
1:00pm  Take the Jackson Avenue Ferry back across the Mississippi and ride through the garden district with its antebellum, Victorian and other period mansions.
2:30pm  On the longer version of the city tour, we also ride through Audubon Park and pass Tulane and Loyola universities before heading back to Laid Back Tours.
4:30pm  Drive (or take transportation) back to your hotel or B & B.

ADDITIONAL NEW ORLEANS CITY TOURS INFORMATION
GUIDED TOUR PRICE: $95 per person. This price includes tour guide, rental of mountain bike, hybrid or recumbent.
SELF-GUIDED TOUR: $45 per person. This price includes tour maps, direction sheets with restroom stops, points of interest, suggested restaurants and the rental of an excellent quality hybrid bike.
TOUR DATES: Guided tours of 2 or more persons are booked based availability.
LUNCH: Everyone pays for his/her own lunch. The group decides on which restaurant option.
TRANSPORTATION: Our shop is 1.8 miles from the French Quarter. You may take public transportation (streetcar or bus) or taxi.
MISCELLANEOUS: All tour guides are licensed by the City of New Orleans.
CANCELLATIONS: No charge for a tour if canceled within 7 days. A cancellation fee of $35 p/p for a tour if canceled in less than 7 days. At our discretion, the cancellation fee can be applied toward a future tour. The full amount for the tour will be charged for a no show, no call.
