Due to Hurricane Katrina, Laid back Tours is Closed Until Further Notice

Message to our Past Customers/Friends: Hurricane Katrina flooded Laid Back Tours as well as our home. Luckily, however, we successfully evacuated New Orleans. We are safe. We are currently in temporary housing and will soon be moving to Gretna (again, temporarily), a community just outside of New Orleans. We thank you for your past business, concern, and friendship. Today, we cry for our beloved city, our people, our culture and the soul of New Orleans. In the face of this tragedy, we are trying our best to remain hopeful for the future of New Orleans and it's people. We hope to go back and re-build whenever we are allowed back in the city. We doubt if we will ever try to re-open Laid Back Tours again, but we can't see ourselves living anywhere in the U.S. other than New Orleans. If we open Laid Back Tours we would only do it for bicycle tours of Katrina's devastation and the failure of government at every level to, in any way, protect it's most vulnerable citizens. These same politicians are now trying to use this disaster to push their own narrow political agenda and to further marginalize and/or remove New Orleans' poor citizens.
